‘Sharps’ Collection/Disposal
‘Sharps’ is a term used to describe injection needles,
glass ampoules, syringes, phials etc.
Any ‘sharps’ found on site
or in river must NOT be picked up.
Those on site must be reported to Leicester OPC reception and authorised employee to then collect and dispose. Authorised employee will have full training and be vaccinated for Hepatitis ‘B’
Those in River to be reported to Leicester City Council 'Cleansing Services' 0116 2253391. mobile 07971 907678. they will advise what they intend to do.
Any finds to be detailed on ‘sharps’ register.
