Junior Sessions will restart on Thursday 1st April 2010

Throughout the summer from Easter to mid October a junior group meets from
6 - 8.00pm. on Thursdays. Run by experienced coaches from the club, this offers youngsters (from 7 upwards) a chance to try canoeing. The sessions are to be based around the BCU paddlepower scheme which offer a fun and enjoyable way to learn key kayak and canoeing skills.

The group also organise longer paddles at weekends and bank holidays. These include the touring and camping "Summer Solstice Paddle" as well as training and participation in the Clubs for Young People - 100 mile challenge, which takes place over the summer bank holiday.


PaddlePlus is a family friendly club and welcomes new junior members. Many of our junior paddlers are now adult members, some have gone on to compete in National canoeing squads, but more importantly, they all enjoy their time on the water.

Swimming pool sessions are available through the winter which are suitable for new youngsters to join
