Paddleplus is a multi-activity club, predominantly canoeing. We are located in Leicestershire and are based at the Leicester Outdoor Pursuits Centre. We are affiliated to the BCU. The regular meeting night is Thursday throughout the year. See our information page for more details.

Database problems sorted
The message board is now available again - the bad news is that you will need to sign on afresh even if you where a member before.
The photo gallery is also available although not all the photos are uploaded yet.

Grass Roots Award
Paddleplus have just been awarded £5,000 to develop local links with schools to encourage participation in paddlesports. The grant will be used to purchase new equipment and meet some of the expenses of the 100m weekend.

NEW Members Area Website
A new part of the Club's website has been launched to provide members with the ability to register for trips and renew membership on-line (even payments through PayPal). This new facility has already helped fully book the pool sessions and will assist in managing events and payments. If you have not yet had a look please do.

Congratulations 100m Team
A total of over 2000 miles were paddled over the Bank Holiday weekend by the paddlePlus 100m team. Thanks and congratulations go to all those involved.
Special thanks to David Springett who has overseen the event for many years and announced he is stepping down.

Soar Point - Message Board
This is the interactive part of the club's website where members and visitors can keep upto date with what is happening and it includes a section for sales/wanted adverts.

Photo Gallery for PaddlePlus
A user-friendly photo gallery has been created as a repository for the club's photos. Thanks to members who have sent in photos the gallery currently has over 900 images which have been viewed 34,000 times. Movies are now being added to our space on YouTube to compliment the stills collection in the gallery. Please keep sending over your photos - take a look

Whilst working on the site it has been terrific to re-read some of the excellent reports submitted over the years by the club's members. If you have not yet read through the list of over 20 reports - now would be a good time!

What to expect each week
A bit of structure and predictability is no bad thing (although new to PaddlePlus!)
!st Thursday - longer paddle
2nd Thursday - Open Canoe Clinic
3rd Thursday - Kayak Klinik
4th Thursday - bit of a rest!
Activities will be optional and a river trip will be available for those who want it. We also hope to show videos and DVD's.

PaddlePlus has space on YouTube where videos of the club's activities are upload. Be sure to leave your comments and rate the film clips to get maximum exposure for what we do
